Why us?


Way back in 2015, Listingly’s co-founder Michael Talkow, Esq. asked some big questions, like:

Why do we give away $27,000 worth of equity in our homes to Realtors? For doing what exactly? Putting the house on the internet?

Every idea starts with a problem. Ours was simple: Realtors are too expensive. We were homeowner’s trying to sell our house and were stuck having to choose between selling “For Sale by Owners” (we don’t recommend this) or with a traditional Realtor.

Given that the MLS is where most homes get sold, we had no choice. The rest of us had similar experiences, and we were amazed that in an era where technology can accomplish more than our grandparents could ever have imagined, there was no better option that didn’t leave our wallets bare.

Where were the options?

It turns out there was a simple explanation. Realtor’s dominate the MLS as a monopoly to keep commissions artificially high while reaping huge profits from home sellers who have no other options.

We started Listingly to create an alternative.

By replacing lay Realtors with a centralized team of true experts, engaging clients directly, and automating the costly duties most Realtors maintain from the pre-internet era, we’re able to remake real estate with simplicity, transparency & genuine human goodness, at a fraction of the going price.

We believe that selling your home should be easy, transparent, and fun. It should leave you happy, feeling-good, and with more money in your pocket.

Five years later, Listingly has transitioned from underdog to Big-Dog; beating the nation’s biggest real estate brands at their own game. And, we’re just getting started.
